Shoebox Swap Reject

I took part in a team shoebox swap a couple weeks ago - it was a blast! A shoebox swap is where each participant designs a card and takes all the supplies needed for the other people to recreate that project. It's a fun way to attend AND host a class all in one with fellow team members! Each card should be fairly straightforward and not take more than 10 or 15 minutes to complete. I love the bright and fun colours in this springy card but because it involved watercolouring, I rejected this project - I didn't want to be the reason my team members felt rushed and stressed out! Don't get me wrong - watercolouring is fun and the end results are stunning, but sometimes it takes a few tries to get the shading you want and then you have to let it dry after that. Not a great project to take on when you're pressed for time!
Ink: Basic Black Archival, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi
Paper: Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White
Stamps: Grateful Bunch, Happy Birthday, Everyone
Other: Blossom Bunch Punch, Aquapainter

I love the swirly twirly font in the Happy Birthday, Everyone stamp set! This set is exclusive to hostesses meaning that you have to host a party (or place an order totaling a minimum of $200) to get it. Gather a few friends and contact me to book a class! This stamp set will no longer be available in a couple months - the hostess sets never stick around at the end of an annual catalogue. <SNIFF> We'll find out what other sets will be leaving and which ones will be sticking around on April 18 when the retired list is available. Check back here then for all the deets!

Happy Stampin'!
Krista
