This week's challenge over at The Friday Mashup says to use the colors Daffodil Delight, Perfect Plum, and Wild Wasabi. It also challenges you to use an Aquapainter or Blender Pen. As soon as I saw the challenge, I knew I wanted to pull out my "Blessed Easter" tulip stamp out of the Spring Catalogue and I used my blender pen to color in the tulips. Be sure to use your Jet Black Stazon ink pad before coloring in the image to avoid "bleeding" of the black outline. I didn't have a Wild Wasabi ink pad so I compromised by using my Wild Wasabi marker and scribbling some color on the inside of one of stamp cases and using the blender pen to pick up the ink that way.
It didn't turn out the way I planned when I first started making the card but I do like the final result!

ReplyDeleteHey Krista, sorry if this is the second comment I sent, but I don't think some of mine went through for some reason. I love how you used the colors this week and your water coloring is great! Cutting out those tulips are a lot of work too...I've done it myself once, not sure if I'll do it again. lol Great finishing touch with your linen thread too. Thanks for joining us at the Friday Mashup.

Such a beautiful card! I love the embossing and the flowers look like they are popping right off the card!
