I love the look of washi tape but really struggle to come up with ideas on how to use it on my cards and projects - and have it look nice! For some reason the stars were aligned and this card really clicked for me! Maybe my washi tape block has been abolished!
I used the For All Things Stamp Set and Color Me Autumn Washi Tape from the Holiday Catalogue. The Gold Basic Metal Button is also from the Holiday Catalogue. I stamped the leaf from the same stamp set in Cajun Craze and Blackberry Bliss and cut them out with my paper snips. The card came together quickly and I am pleased with how it turned out!

Autumn/Fall card for SUO Challenge
The autumn theme continues this week with some more great products from the Holiday Catalogue! I am also entering this card for the SUO Challenge #106! I love autumn/fall with the changing colors, crisp mornings, and snuggly sweaters!
This past weekend was the first of 12 Canadian SU Conferences this fall, held right here in Calgary - I will share a few of those pics tomorrow! I met lots of wonderful Stampin' Up! demonstrators from southern Alberta and even British Columbia, and I hope this was the "first annual" Canadian conference! Next weekend the conference will be in Nova Scotia, my old stompin' grounds!
Happy Stampin'!

Give Thanks
Thanksgiving is just a month away here in Canada! I can't believe how fast September is flying by. We wait for so long for the warm summer days to arrive and then they come and go far to quickly. Growing up on a dairy farm in Nova Scotia we were always very aware of the changing seasons as the daily chores changed with them.
Anyway, enough reminiscing! Today I have another Thanksgiving card to share with you using lots of goodies from the new Holiday Catalog!
I used the same colour palette as yesterday with Crushed Curry, Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze, and Mossy Meadow. I colored the little wooden leaf accent with my Cajun Craze Marker and put a few threads from the 1-1/4" burlap ribbon behind it.
One way to get a bit more mileage out of your DSP (designer series paper) is to cut a hole in it - seriously! It is going to be covered up anyway, so just cut out the part that will be hidden and save it for another project! I used my Stampin' Trimmer to help me - you could also use a framelit and your Big Shot to cut out a piece of DSP before adhering it to your underlying card base.
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Acorns and Burlap
The trees are starting to change their leaves and there is a definite nip in the air now. Fall is my favorite season and when I got the chance to add the For All Things Stamp Set to my collection at convention in July I did not hesitate! The watercolor look is very popular right now and this set is very much like the popular set Work of Art from the annual catalogue but with a taste of autumn! Those acorns are SO cute!! I colored them with my markers (Chocolate Chip and Crumb Cake) to get the 2-toned look.
Supplies Used:
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Tangelo Twist, Crumb Cake
Stamp Sets: For All Things
Paper: Tangelo Twist, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla
Accessories: 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon, Linen thread, corner rounder punch (non-SU)
I was inspired by a card on Pinterest but unfortunately the original crafter is not noted.
Would you like a copy of the newly released Holiday Catalogue? If you are in Canada and do not have a demonstrator please drop me a line and I would be happy to send one your way!
Happy Stampin'!
Krista
